Victoria's State of the Forests Report is issued every five years to fulfil sustainable forest management reporting requirements under the Sustainable Forests (Timber) Act 2004.

Forest management

We manage Victoria's 3.14 million hectares of State forest, and provide policy guidance for a further 3.98 million hectares of parks and conservation reserves.

Joint management

Joint Management ensures that the knowledge and culture of the Traditional Owner group of the appointed land is recognised in the management of that land.
